STUDENT EXPERIENCE
This Is Not a Trip
You'll experience everyday life abroad through school, friendships, travel, language, traditions, host families, and community involvement while growing in independence and confidence.
Daily Life
Stay with multiple host families during your exchange, allowing you to experience different homes, traditions, perspectives, and everyday life throughout the year.
Explore
Experience new cities, traditions, food, travel opportunities, and everyday life beyond what tourists normally see.
Study
While attending high school abroad, you'll experience new extracurricular activities, sports, and student life. You'll naturally begin learning and using another language through everyday life and immersion.
Connect
Build lasting friendships with host families, local students, Rotary clubs, and other exchange students from around the world.
Grow
Develop independence, adaptability, confidence, leadership, and cultural understanding through real-life experiences abroad.
Share
When you come back home, continue sharing your exchange experience through Rotary events, presentations, mentoring, and future Youth Exchange involvement.
